History - DIGGING FOR FOSSILS (YEAR 2)
In History, we are learning about the lives of significant individuals and the impact that they have had on the world today. We learnt that Mary Anning is considered one of the world's first palaeontologists, and that her findings have taught us a lot about prehistory. In class, we learnt some key words such as 'palaeontology', 'prospecting', 'fossils' and 'discovery'. We put them into practice when digging for our own findings!
We will be comparing Mary Anning's life to that of David Attenborough, whose global impact has also been significant. Both of their contributions to the natural world are celebrated across the world.
